Great hub, but I do have a word of warning about the electronic repellents. Buy more than 1! I put one of these in my garage when I found field mice there. It chased them out of the garage in a hurry, and right into my house lol. Now I use them inside and out.
Cost effective- none of OBD2 scanner I have encountered in my long usage has been this cheap. This is in spite of the wide user functional abilities it has. Unlike most of its competitors, the BAFX OBD2 scan tool offers money’s worth of services at an amazingly lower price.
The day starts between 8 and 9 ‘clock with coffee and croissants few words with other collegues and then everybody at their working area, in the design process we start a project from ideation sketching and brainstroming which is done at the beginning in group and later each one continues by him/herself, will follow the step of first real proposals until proposing renderings. After this 2D stage we get to the 3D virtual stage which means starting to work with Alias modeling programs to see the car volumes and completing it until the smallest detail. The chosen designs (3 or 4) go to milling to see them in 3D real volumes…real models with wheels. At the final step go 2 of them which will be corrected again in Alias (virtual 3D) and later re-milled and finished with all details painted like real cars for final presentation! At the end we will have the winner project which will go to production process with design managers , expert designers and engineers and suppliers.
Take a good visual examination of all the wires and connectors on the circuit. If a connector is loose fitting it can generate heat and cause the fuse to blow. If there is a spot on the wire that is dark or swollen, this is a good indication that this is where the short is. Once the short is located, cut the faulty piece of wire out, and using quality connectors and shrink wrap make a wire repair. Make sure you route the wires in order to protect them from a recurring fault.
I just got a new 2014 BMW. Before it had gone 1000 miles it started throwing a code saying that it needed an oil change-at 200 miles. The dealer found the problem, a chewed wire that caused the code. The cost of repair was $142. A Honda Element is parked next to the BMW and it has not been attacked by mix. My surfing as uncovered many accounts saying that carmakers have gone to insulation made from soy or corn protein, claiming that they are trying to be environmentally sensitive. It probably has more to do with cost cutting.
Occasionally, you may need a special tool when working on a steering pump or wheel bearing, for example. Some of these tools are expensive and they are not worth buying because you’ll rarely use them. See if your local auto parts store will loan you the tool instead.
